While Christian Louboutin has just landed with Loubi Airways (collection here), having flown over a whole host of eclectic creations, the house takes us on an onward journey to the four corners of the world with a limited-edition capsule collection. A nod to the bags designed for each season (Africaba, Mexicaba, Manillacaba, Portugaba and Cabaraparis), the latest addition, Caracaba, available in large and mini versions, is an ideal companion for long journeys or short trips (available online as from April 28 and in stores on May 5, 2021). Here, the journey takes a new direction, especially in the imagination. The new pattern specially designed for Louboutin and inspired by the Tarot de Marseille, carries us to that mystical and imaginary universe. The pattern appears on the lining of Caracaba, and on the Elisa bag, the Sandale du Desert, and the Iriza among others. The collection has grown with the many different versions of the famous Elisa bag. An ode to the many facets of femininity and to Egypt, the bag is a dedication to Elisa Sednaoui, a Christian Louboutin ambassador, and above all, to a young woman who has many different roles to play. Each different fabric print evokes a different destination, and the wanderlust philosophy is omnipresent. Once again, Christian Louboutin surprises us with this capsule collection, just when we thought we had reached the end (of the journey).
